Often, business owners do not take advantage of a good insurance agent to help them identify and reduce those risks that can cause their organization financial harm. A good insurance agent becomes a part of your professional risk management team that includes accounting and legal advise.

You don't want someone to just sell you insurance. You need someone who will take the time to understand the specific risks your business faces and to tailor methods to protect you against those risks. Risk is not bad. Everything you do has some risk. However, unmanaged or unknown risks that can ruin your business is bad.

Our first job is to learn who you are, identify what can harm you and your organization then provide solutions to reduce or transfer those risks. This is known as Risk Management. Large corporations have in- house risk managers just as they have in-house attorneys and Certified Public Accounts.  We are here for those companies that contract their professional services. We work for you the same as your attorney and CPA; we are your Risk Manager. We work for you, not an insurance company. It is our job to identify risks; offer options to eliminate; reduce or transfer risks then review competitive insurance options and present you with alternatives.

WHAT WE DO

  1. Understand your unique business – These are the “who, what, where and how questions”. We work with a wide variety of organizations, everything from minor league baseball teams to steel foundries. What each client has in common is that we take the time to learn your business; what you do, where you operate, how you operate, who you depend on for services and material, who are your client’s, etc. All of this is critical information to assure you are properly protected. Our specialized industry teams enable us to effectively anticipate and respond to all our customer needs.
     
  2. Help determine insurance needs - Our detailed risk management survey helps identify key business risks and exposures. A detailed review of your business structure identifies situations that could also expose your business and personal assets to  loss. From this information we can determine what steps can be taken to eliminate or reduce your risk to loss. It is only now that we review insurance alternatives and recommend the best insurance policy protection.
     
  3. Provide competitive options – Access to many different of insurance companies and in particular those that provide specialized products for your industry, ensures the broadest, most cost effective coverage available. We learn who insurance carriers want for clients; this allows us to place clients with a company that wants and understands their business, not forcing a client to use a carrier that may not want or understand their business. We then customize the insurance policies so you only purchase and pay for the coverage you need. This is also where we make sure the insurance policies you obtain are properly structured. Just having an insurance policy does not mean you are covered. It is critical that the policy is properly structured for your unique business. A policy for a retail store will not address the exposures of a metal manufacturer.
